Refund policy

We want you to love your Ruby Merlot piece, but please note the following return policies:

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@rubymerlot.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to our address in Singapore.

  • Local returns (within Singapore): We’ll provide you with a return shipping label. A restocking fee of $5 will be applied to cover return shipping and handling, and this will be deducted from your refund.

  • Overseas returns (outside Singapore): You'll need to arrange and cover the return shipping to our Singapore address.

    Please note that all refund totals exclude outbound shipping fees — meaning the original shipping cost you paid is non-refundable.

    If your order originally qualified for free shipping, the actual outbound shipping cost incurred on our end will still be deducted from your refund.

    A 7% handling fee will also be deducted to cover restocking and card processing fees.

    Any duties or taxes paid are non-refundable. While these charges may be collected at checkout, they are paid to and processed by your local customs authority, not us.

  • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Final Sale Items: All items marked as sale, purchased during sample sales or Grade B sales are final sale. These items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable under any circumstances.

Gift Cards: All gift card purchases are final and cannot be returned or refunded.

Damages and issues: Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Discounted Purchases: Items purchased using a discount code (unless otherwise stated in the promotion) are eligible for return or exchange under our standard return policy. If you choose to return an item purchased with a discount code, you’ll be refunded the exact amount you paid after the discount was applied, not the original full price. Please refer to specific promotion terms for any exclusions.

Exchanges: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds: We’ll notify you via email once we’ve received and inspected your return. If your return is approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

If your return is not approved (e.g. due to signs of wear, missing packaging, or policy violations), we’ll notify you and give you the option to have the item shipped back. Return shipping for non-approved items will be at your own expense and must be arranged within 7 days of notification.

For all refunds back to your original payment method, kindly note that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
