Ruby Merlot started as a bag brand. But somewhere along the way, we found our people in journaling.

Our slogan has always been "Forever plus one", the idea that the things we make become something you reach for without thinking, or simply just want to carry with you at all times.

That instinct drove every bag we designed, and it's the same instinct behind the Orbit Journal. When a product fits that naturally into your life, the next step feels obvious.

Our new space is the physical expression of all of that. We like to it our girl lair. It's built around something specific: a community, a practice, and the simple act of slowing down. Whether you're here to shop, sit, and reflect, or just take a breath in the middle of your day, there's a place for you here.

Alongside our journals and bags, you'll find vintage polaroids. We thought this was the perfect touch, since journaling is all about being present and holding onto a moment. A polaroid does exactly the same thing. Pairing the two feels like a natural little ritual, and we love what that looks like in practice.

The space itself is split between retail and experience.

One side is for browsing, trying things on, and finding your favourite journal + charm combination. The other is designed for actually sitting down and journaling with people around you. We run regular workshops here, because this was never meant to be a one-and-done visit. It's somewhere to come back to.
