U.S. Shipping & Import Duties
We’re happy to share that we now ship to the United States again.
Due to current U.S. import tariffs, duties and taxes on shipments may be higher than usual. These charges are set by U.S. customs authorities and are outside of our control, but we want to be fully transparent so you know what to expect.
How U.S. Orders Are Shipped
All U.S. orders are shipped via DHL Express using DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) shipping.
This means:
-
Duties and taxes are calculated upfront at checkout.
-
You won’t be required to pay additional fees upon delivery.
-
Your parcel is cleared through customs before reaching you.
Why Are Duties So High?
Recent changes to U.S. tariff regulations have increased import charges on certain categories of goods, including accessories and both faux-leather and leather-related products. As a result, duties on U.S. orders may appear higher than expected.
We’ve explored alternative shipping methods, but DDP via DHL remains the most reliable and transparent option to ensure smooth delivery without surprise charges.
Before You Checkout
We recommend reviewing your final total carefully before placing your order, especially if you’re ordering for the first time during this period.
If there are any future changes that allow us to reduce duties, we’ll absolutely do so — and update our site accordingly.
If you’re unsure about anything or would like help deciding, feel free to email us at hello@rubymerlot.com — we’re always happy to help.
